For nine months of the year, wind, weather, and waves align. From July to November, steady winds of 12 to 25 knots shape the coastline’s rhythm. Even into December and January, the breeze lingers, softer, at 10 to 18 knots, inviting continued flow.

Baía Formosa welcomes every kind of surfer, from first glides to seasoned flow. Its waves carry both gentleness and challenge, shaped by the rhythm of the land. This is the birthplace of Ítalo Ferreira, the barefoot local who became the first Olympic Surfing Champion in Tokyo 2020, a story of grace and the sea’s quiet power.
